Carnival Time 2012. Monday I went onto the Parkway to partake in The World Famous Labor Day West Indian Parade.
This is an event one has to see to believe. The people, the delicious food and the music.

Last night I returned home to the sound of blaring fire engines and my block filling with thick black smoke.
So I grabbed my wallet and camera and ran down out the door to investigate.
Down the block from my home another home had flames gushing from the top floor and smoke billowing out.
This was a 2 alarm fire…with over 100 fire fighters and tons of trucks.
The home had squatters living there that the homeowner had to take to court to have removed.
One fire fighter was hurt. Police are investigating.
