NYC Subway Series…Take 1

Last night I was on my way home from a long hard day at the office…when 2 dudes got on the train and began to set up to play music. The first thing I thought was where are my headphones.
But to my pleasant surprise these dude were by far the best performers I have ever seen on the train. EVER.
Let me introduce you all to Mello Madness!

All Lives Matter!!!

As a rule in photojournalism it is best to keep your views and opinions to yourself.

But in light of all the recent events here in America…I am going to break protocol just a little.

On Saturday New York City police officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were shot and killed by a crazed, delusional maniac while simply sitting in the squad car on meal.

With all the racial turmoil going on here in New York and across America…this could not have come at a worse time.

Not living to far from the scene, I went over to pay my respects to the slain officers. I have many members of my family that are in law enforcement and know what they encounter in these mean streets.

Nothing could have prepared for what I saw…

I was brought to tears by the van loads of countless police officers from all over the area that came to pay their respects, as well as civilians.

I can only imagine the pain any families feels to have their loved one lost to violence. At the end of the day…pain is pain and love is love.

With that said…we are more alike than we think…NO race is superior than another.

People we have got to figure this thing out for the sake of our children…for the sake of peace. At this rate we are headed for a hole we will not be able to get out of.

No more violence…HATE KILLS!!! Time to stop placing blame and look for real solutions.

I always tell folks…I seriously doubt in Heaven or Hell the color of your skin matters.

See What Eye See…This post is dedicated to ALL the unarmed men and women killed. ALL!!!

The Invisible People of The Upper Westside

Please check out this documentary I have been working on over the past few months. Being a part of this project has really shown me just how truly blessed I am. We will be adding more interviews and hope to enter into several film festivals next year. Thanks for your support. Remember to count your blessings. This extreme cold we have been having really makes my heart go out for the homeless.

Good Ole Coney Island…

A couple of weekends ago I took a ride out to Coney Island to check out to Mermaid Parade and to see the new improved Coney Island.
Boy did we have a great time, between the rides in Luna Park and the sights we saw. My niece loved the new rides for children.

If you have not been out to Coney Island lately you should do so. And makes sure you stop by Nathan’s for a world famous hot dog. And grab some cotton candy while your there.

Home to famous rides like the Cyclone Roller Coaster, the Wonder Wheel and the Parachute Jump, this historic seaside section of Brooklyn is about an hour by train from Manhattan and still boasts a lively boardwalk, beach, and the best hot dogs around.
