This weekend my family, friends and I attended the Shop Rite Grand Tasting…and boy was it GRAND.
If you love boozes and food you should make it your business to attend when it comes to your city. You will not be disappointed. We ate and ate and ate and drank and drank. You also leave with a bag full of cool goodies.

Please check out this documentary I have been working on over the past few months. Being a part of this project has really shown me just how truly blessed I am. We will be adding more interviews and hope to enter into several film festivals next year. Thanks for your support. Remember to count your blessings. This extreme cold we have been having really makes my heart go out for the homeless.
A couple of weekends ago I took a ride out to Coney Island to check out to Mermaid Parade and to see the new improved Coney Island.
Boy did we have a great time, between the rides in Luna Park and the sights we saw. My niece loved the new rides for children.
If you have not been out to Coney Island lately you should do so. And makes sure you stop by Nathan’s for a world famous hot dog. And grab some cotton candy while your there.
Home to famous rides like the Cyclone Roller Coaster, the Wonder Wheel and the Parachute Jump, this historic seaside section of Brooklyn is about an hour by train from Manhattan and still boasts a lively boardwalk, beach, and the best hot dogs around.

This is one the the many reasons I LOVE BROOKLYN...”Celebrate Brooklyn”.
All summer long they have free concerts for any and everyone.
This Saturday I went to see Les Nubians preform at Prospect Park. And let me tell you it was well worth being outside in what felt like 100 plus degrees that evening.
Les Nubians is an R&B Grammy-nominated duo composed of sisters Hélène and Célia Faussart from Paris, France. In 1985 the sisters moved with their parents to Chad. Seven years later, they returned to Bordeaux, France, and began singing a cappella, producing poetry slams in Bordeaux and Paris, and singing background vocals for various artists worldwide. The duo’s debut album Princesses Nubiennes was released by Virgin Records, France, in 1998.
They have become one of the most successful French-language musical groups in the U.S., best known for their Billboard R&B Single “Makeda” from their Grammy nominated album Princesses Nubiennes. Les Nubians were the 1999 Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards winners for Best New Artist, Group or Duo and received two NAACP Image Awards nominations in 2000.

What an awesome weekend I had…I had some friends in town so I took them down by the river side…The East River that is.
We headed over to Williamsburg to check out the new hip, talk of the town neighborhood.
While there we feasted on many local delicacies, from natural Kelvin slushies, DuMont Burgers and slow cooked beef brisket sandwiches. We indulged until our bellies were busting at the seams.
Also going on down by the river this weekend was the 1st Annual Hot Sauce Expo.
With all the new shops, restaurants and building in Williamsburg one would barely recognize it from the past.

Hello My Friends-
Below you will find a link to a Hurricane Sandy campaign that I am working on. Please check it out and help if you can.
These people really need your help. With your donations we will purchase blankets, warm clothes and pampers.
To make matters worse, we have another storm headed our way.
Thank you in advance for your help.
